Individuals interested in joining our team first need to download and fill out an employment application. This application, which contains a criminal history record request and other relevant documents, can be accessed by visiting the Franklin County Human Resources webpage.  You can view current jobs available with the Sheriff's Office, as well as other departments in the county.

SHERIFF OVERTON UNVEILS FOOTWEAR IMPRESSION TECHNOLOGY

Tuesday, April 25th. Sheriff Bill Overton unveiled the new footwear impression technology for the Office of the Sheriff. The Sheriff explained how the Franklin County Sheriff's Office is the first agency in the United States and all the Western Hemisphere to have such a device. The Everspry Footwear Outsole Scanner was on display for all the media present. This technology will allow collection, storing and processing of footwear impressions at the Franklin County Jail and for FCSO Investigators in the field. Thanks to Evident, Inc (All the Grimm family) and to Everspry of China (Representative Bo Li) for partnering with us in this endeavor.

SHERIFF OVERTON HOLDS MEETING IN SNOW CREEK

Tuesday, April 4th, Sheriff Bill Overton was at the Snow Creek Elementary School for a special meeting with residents in the area. The main topic of this meeting was to disseminate information about a recent increase in break-ins and larcenies. Over 250 people were present to hear Sheriff Overton speak on this issue.  The residents in attendance had an opportunity to ask questions, share information and give feedback. Sheriff Overton stated how pleased he was with the turnout and how he appreciated being able to have an event like this. He also thanked Principal Ken Grindstaff of the Snow Creek Elementary School and all his staff for hosting this town hall style meeting.
